Introduction
To ensure Anrok only ingests the minimum amount of data required to calculate tax on your transactions, a customer present in your billing system will only be ingested into Anrok once a transaction is associated with it.
Sometimes, you may have a customer that you'd like to exist in Anrok early, such as when you want to upload a customer's exemption certificate into Anrok before issuing their first invoice. You can complete manual customer ID entries for these situations to ensure the customer is present in Anrok before invoicing.
Add a customer
You can manually add a customer to Anrok if the customer is not currently present in your list of customers.
Try adding a customer ID in the demo above ☝️
- In the Anrok app
, go to Customers. Take me there!
-
Select Add customer, then enter the Customer ID and Customer name.
Tip
When entering the customer ID, be sure to add the lowercase, no-space billingsystem: prefix so that it maps to your billing system successfully. For example, if the customer ID is 10000 in NetSuite, you would enter netsuite:10000 as the customer ID in Anrok.
- When you are finished, click Save.
