Edit your tax configurations during onboarding

Introduction

When starting the onboarding process, we understand you might not know which tax configurations to select for your product IDs. At this stage, you'll want to know how different tax codes will affect the taxability of your products, either on your own or with the help of an external accountant.

Anrok allows you to edit product tax codes during your account's onboarding or trial stage so you can explore historical exposure under various tax scenarios. The option to adjust your tax codes can be helpful for:

  • Onboarding exposure estimation — New Anrok users can estimate their exposure during onboarding without fully committing to a tax configuration.
  • External accountant consultation — External accountants can use the feature to help clients determine the proper product tax configuration.

Editing your tax configurations during onboarding will enable you to make informed decisions about tax configurations, which is vital for maintaining sales tax compliance within your company.

The ability to edit your tax configurations is only available before you have registered or submitted a registration within a jurisdiction. Once you've submitted a registration, you must archive and re-configure a product ID to update its tax configuration.

The reprocessing duration will vary based on the volume of impacted transactions. You can track Anrok’s progress on the Product IDs page.
