Introduction
Once you’ve finished the Anrok & Bill.com integration process, there are still a few additional steps you’ll need to complete within Bill.com before you can start creating and editing invoices. This will ensure that your Bill.com account has been properly configured for tax calculation.
Remove sales tax from your invoice template
When Anrok calculates sales tax on an invoice, it will add it as a line item — using the Tax item you created. To ensure you and your customers do not get confused over "Tax" appearing twice on your invoices, we suggest that you remove sales tax from your invoice template.

- In the BILL app , go to Settings > Receivables > Invoice Templates. Take me there!
- Click New or select your existing default invoice template.

Click the Pencil button in the top-right corner, then select the following information:
- Default — select the checkbox (if not already selected).
- Sales Tax — deselect the checkbox (if already selected).
- When you are finished, click Save.
Add VAT IDs to your customer profiles
Adding a VAT IDVAT ID
Also known as a VAT registration number (VRN), this is the unique number that identifies a taxable business that is registered for VAT.Most businesses (and other persons carrying out an economic activity) are required to have a VAT number. to your customer records will be essential for tracking international economic nexus exposure. Once a VAT ID has been added, Anrok can use your customer's VAT ID to verify an invoice's taxability in a given country/region.

- In the BILL app , go to the customer's profile.
- Click Edit, then under Customer description, enter
[anrok_tax_ids]EU1234,RE567[/anrok_tax_ids]
. Make sure to fill the text highlighted in green with the customer’s VAT ID(s). - When you are finished, click Save.
