Now that you've integrated your Ordway and Anrok environments, there are additional settings you may want to configure, depending on your billing needs.
We recommend reviewing the content below if your company utilizes customer tax IDs or VAT IDs, which are relevant for most non-US jurisdictions.
Add a VAT or tax ID field
If your customer base requires VAT IDs or customer tax IDs, you will need to add a custom field to your Ordway integration. A tax ID field can be created by adding tax_id to a customer record with the following steps:
- In the Ordway app, navigate to Settings > Customize > Customers.
- Select Add field.
- Use Field Label: Tax ID and API Name:
tax_id
. - Description and Tooltip Text are optional and can be freeform inputs. Leave Field Type as
Text
. - Click Save.
Add multiple tax IDs to a single customer record
If a customer has multiple tax IDs, then add each of the IDs into the customer’s profile in the “Tax ID” field in a comma-separated list:
- Navigate to Customers > select an existing customer record > Tax ID field.
- Input the tax IDs, separated by a comma.
- Example, two tax IDs could look like the following:
