This can include having an office, a remote employee, independent contractor, inventory, or regular travel for work into that jurisdiction. information up-to-date within a jurisdiction is key to understanding your business's tax obligations and meeting tax compliance requirements. Integrating your HR system with Anrok allows you to monitor your existing physical nexus exposures. It will also automatically monitor employee locations and track potential exposures from new hires.

, go to Jurisdictions. Take me there!
- Click Manage physical nexus.
- Under Add jurisdiction, select a jurisdiction where you have an employee or property located, then enter the following information:
- Effective date — The earliest date you had an employee or property physically located in the jurisdiction.
- Notes — Any notes that will help you remember the reason for physical nexus (e.g. employee name, role, relocation, building name).
- If needed, click Add jurisdiction to add additional jurisdictions with physical nexus.
- When you are finished, click Save.
Edit physical nexus information
You can manually edit a jurisdiction's physical nexus information if the current information needs to be updated. Keeping physical nexus information up-to-date ensures that your employee backfill Employee Backfill
