Historical backfill is the process by which Anrok gets your historical transactions to accurately calculate your global tax obligation. This process can be completed automatically (most efficient) or manually.
Automatic Backfill: This billing systems link is possible if you use billing systems like Stripe, Salesforce, Chargebee, (and more). Anrok can automatically fetch past transactions and populate them in Anrok for comprehensive and accurate nexus monitoring. You can decide later whether you would like to calculate tax on past transactions, pay the tax out of pocket, and include these in the first return.
Manual Backfill: In the case that you do not have a compatible billing system, you can upload your company's historical transactions via CSV. Use the attached template to structure your transaction data before uploading to Anrok.
