Introduction
This guide outlines the process for linking your Lago account with Anrok. This will allow you to automatically synchronize transactions and update sales tax to your Lago invoices.
Step 1
Update your Accounting settings
Before connecting Lago to your Anrok account, update your Accounting settings. Lago uses the UTC timezone, so you should also set up your Anrok account to use UTC. If UTC is already set, you may skip this step.

- In the Anrok app
, go to Settings. Take me there!
- Next to Accounting, click Edit, then select UTC.
- When you are finished, click Save.
Step 2
Generate an Anrok API key
To connect with Anrok, you must provide Lago with your Anrok account's API key. This key ensures that your Anrok and Lago accounts can communicate effectively.

- In the Anrok app
- Under Developers, click Manage API Keys.
- Click New key, then in the Notes field, enter a title or internal notes for the API key.
- Click Create key, then copy the Key ID and Secret.
- When you are finished, click Ok.
Step 3
Connect to Anrok
Once you’ve updated your Accounting settings and generated an Anrok API key, you can connect your Lago account with Anrok.
- In the Lago app
, go to Settings > Integrations.
- Click on Anrok.
- Define a name and code for this connection and enter your Anrok API key.
- When you are finished, click Connect to Anrok.
Step 4
Add your Lago items to Anrok
Once you've connected Lago to Anrok, you will need to add your Lago items into Anrok as product IDs. This will involve selecting the applicable tax configuration for each product. Alternatively, you can just add tax categories in Anrok as product IDs and add those tax categories to your Lago products (in the next step).

- In the Anrok app
- Select Add product.
- Under Product ID, enter a product ID for the item.
- Enter the same Product Name and Description from your Lago item.
- Select a Product type and Category to determine the taxability of your product.
- When you are finished, click Save.
Step 5
Map your Anrok product IDs to your Lago items
Once you have added all your Lago items into Anrok as product IDs, you will need to establish a one-to-one or many-to-one relationship between the item in Lago and the product ID in Anrok.
- In the Lago app
- Choose the item you want to associate with the Anrok product ID.
- Enter the product ID to map the item.
- When you are finished, click Save.
