Introduction

This guide outlines the process for linking your MonetizeNow account with Anrok. This will allow you to automatically synchronize transactions and update sales tax to your MonetizeNow invoices.

 

 

Step 1

Update your Accounting settings

Before connecting MonetizeNow to your Anrok account, update your Accounting settings. MonetizeNow uses the UTC timezone, so you should also set up your Anrok account to use UTC. If UTC is already set, you may skip this step.

  1. In the Anrok app CleanShot 2023-07-20 at 12.02.21@2x.png, go to Settings. Take me there! 
  2. Next to Accounting, click Edit, then select UTC.
  3. When you are finished, click Save.

 

 

Step 2

Generate an Anrok API key

To connect with Anrok, you must provide MonetizeNow with your Anrok account's API key. This key ensures that your Anrok and MonetizeNow accounts can communicate effectively.

  1. In the Anrok app CleanShot 2023-07-20 at 12.02.21@2x.png, go to Settings. Take me there! 
  2. Under Developers, click Manage API Keys.
  3. Click New key, then in the Notes field, enter a title or internal notes for the API key.
  4. Click Create key, then copy the Key ID and Secret.
  5. When you are finished, click Ok.

 

 

Step 3

Connect to Anrok

Once you’ve updated your Accounting settings and generated an Anrok API key, you can connect your MonetizeNow account with Anrok.

  1. In the MonetizeNow app CleanShot 2023-07-20 at 12.02.21@2x.png, go to Settings > Taxes. Take me there!
  2. Select Connect to Anrok.
  3. Enter your Tax Calculation Field. This should be a unique ID to map your MonetizeNow products to Anrok products.
  4. Enter your Anrok API key.
  5. When you are finished, click Save.

 

 

Step 4

Configure your product catalog in MonetizeNow

For taxes to be correctly calculated, you must configure your product catalog in MonetizeNow and Anrok. You will need to make sure that the products in MonetizeNow can be correctly mapped to the products in Anrok using the Tax Calculation Field from Step 3.

  1. In the MonetizeNow app CleanShot 2023-07-20 at 12.02.21@2x.png, go to Product Catalog. Take me there!
  2. Select New Product.
  3. Add a Product Name and Description.
  4. If you are using Custom ID, SKU, or Tax Item Code as your Tax Calculation Field from Step 3, make sure to fill that out for your MonetizeNow products.
  5. When you are finished, click Save.

 

 

Step 5

Add your MonetizeNow products to Anrok

Once you have added all your products in MonetizeNow, create and reflect the same products inside Anrok. Ensure that the product ID in Anrok matches your choice of Tax Calculation Field in MonetizeNow.

  1. In the Anrok app CleanShot 2023-07-20 at 12.02.21@2x.png, go to Product IDs. Take me there! 
  2. Select Add product.
  3. Under Product ID, provide the corresponding MonetizeNow Product ID, Custom ID, SKU, or Tax Item Code based on your Tax Calculation Field choice in Step 3.
  4. Enter the same Product Name and Description from your MonetizeNow product.
  5. Select a Product type and Category to determine taxability of your product.
  6. When you are finished, click Save.
