Introduction
This guide outlines the process for linking your MonetizeNow account with Anrok. This will allow you to automatically synchronize transactions and update sales tax to your MonetizeNow invoices.
Step 1
Update your Accounting settings
Before connecting MonetizeNow to your Anrok account, update your Accounting settings. MonetizeNow uses the UTC timezone, so you should also set up your Anrok account to use UTC. If UTC is already set, you may skip this step.

- Next to Accounting, click Edit, then select UTC.
- When you are finished, click Save.
Step 2
Generate an Anrok API key
To connect with Anrok, you must provide MonetizeNow with your Anrok account's API key. This key ensures that your Anrok and MonetizeNow accounts can communicate effectively.

- In the Anrok app
- Under Developers, click Manage API Keys.
- Click New key, then in the Notes field, enter a title or internal notes for the API key.
- Click Create key, then copy the Key ID and Secret.
- When you are finished, click Ok.
Step 3
Connect to Anrok
Once you’ve updated your Accounting settings and generated an Anrok API key, you can connect your MonetizeNow account with Anrok.

- In the MonetizeNow app
, go to Settings > Integrations > Tax. Take me there!
- Select Connect to Anrok.
- Enter your Tax Calculation Field. This should be a unique ID to map your MonetizeNow products to Anrok products.
- If you have no other constraints, we recommend selecting Product ID as your unique ID to map.
- Enter your Anrok API key.
- When you are finished, click Save.
Step 4
Add your MonetizeNow products to Anrok
In Anrok, your MonetizeNow products will be grouped into Anrok Product IDs. These Product IDs are the key drivers for calculating taxability. See What are Product IDs?
Tip
To simplify setup, Anrok recommends grouping your products into one Product ID per each tax category.
If you have 10 products that all fall under tax category SaaS - General, B2B, then create a single Anrok Product with a descriptive ID, like b2b-saas-general. You can re-use this ID for all 10 products in Monetize that share the SaaS - General tax category.

- In the Anrok app
- Select Add product.
- Under Product ID, provide the corresponding MonetizeNow field (Product ID, Custom ID, SKU, or Tax Item Code) based on the Tax Calculation Field chosen in Step 3.3.
- Enter the same Product Name and Description from your MonetizeNow product.
- Select a Product type and Category to determine taxability of your product.
- When you are finished, click Save.
Step 5
Map Product IDs to your product catalog in MonetizeNow
Once you have added all your Product IDs in Anrok, you must map your Anrok Product IDs to your existing product catalog in MonetizeNow.

- In the MonetizeNow app
- For your existing products, select the Options menu > Edit for each product.
- Map the appropriate Anrok Product ID to your Monetize Now Tax Calculation Field from Step 3.3.
- Reminder: Though the individual value in a field varies, you must use the same field (Product ID, Custom ID, SKU, or Tax Item Code) chosen in Step 3.3 across all your Products in MonetizeNow.
- When you are finished, click Save.
- For new products, select New Product.
- Add a Product Name and Description.
- Map the appropriate Anrok Product ID to your Monetize Now Tax Calculation Field from Step 3.3.
- When you are finished, click Save.
This is your final step to integrate MonetizeNow and Anrok. Your integration is complete. Next, review any remaining onboarding tasks with your Anrok Onboarding Manager.
