Errors when trying to link and verify bank account details
Rate limit
This security is designed to protect against fraudulent actors. If you run into the "rate limit" error when trying to link and verify your bank account, here are a few things you can look into that may resolve the issue:
- Disconnect from the VPN before trying to link.
- Similarly, if you are using traffic-anonymizing software, turn off this software before trying to link.
- Try connecting via a different device (phone, computer) or different network (try mobile internet on phone vs WiFi).
Additionally, please note that Plaid may block API requests submitted from high risk countries in order to protect against potential abuse.
Verification statuses
- Unverified: Bank accounts that have been added, but did not submit the details required to begin the verification will have an "Unverified" status. Anrok will not be able to collect and remit sales tax on your behalf if your bank account is not verified.
- Pending automatic verification: Used with micro-deposit verification that may take up to one business day, but does not require intervention from the user. Plaid will handle verifying the amounts and will notify Anrok directly when the bank account has been verified.
- Pending manual verification: This status will appear next to your bank account in Anrok after you submit the information required to link and verify your bank account manually.
- Verified: Bank account has been verified and will be used for any future collections needed to remit sales tax on your behalf.
- Verification failed: This status will appear next to your bank account if there is an issue with the automatic verification. Navigate to the Settings page and complete the bank account verification process via Plaid.
- Verification expired: You started the process to verify and link your bank account, but did not submit the request. Navigate to the Settings page and complete the bank account verification process via Plaid.
